About me

BIOGRAPHY
Francesca Bussalai is a young Italian actress, currently based in Berlin. She started her acting career in high school taking part in several theatre productions like “The Elephant Man” and “The King’s Speech”.
She then moved on to screen acting at Catalyst achieving her BA Degree.
Thanks to the exchange year Francesca did in America, she was able to learn English from a young age and also take a theatre course during this year.
Francesca can also speak Spanish and has a basic level in German. As an artist, she is inspired by life’s monotony, quiet old people and loud little kids.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Francesca Bussalai artistically aims to find the wit in tedious stories, with the same emphasis an Italian grandma would recounting her day. Her work aspires to portray the little things with simplicity and playful detail. As an actor, she wishes to draw the audience into the lives of the characters with sincere care. Francesca finds her place in the child-like and stressful nature of being, and if she could she would observe life from under a table.
